This position is looking for someone who is able to work fully remote and is a US citizen. This position prefers someone with a secret clearance and is looking seasoned Software Developer. This is a 6-month contract to hire position that is looking to pay between $60-$67/hr. This position requires Java and Javascript experience and one of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP, or a CSSLP. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in transitioning from a Waterfall approach to an Agile (DevSecOps) Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodology.
• Ensure software development will use Agile, test-driven development principles, with robust documentation, user centered design, and an extensible infrastructure.
• Design, develop, test and package changes to system and software
• Responsible for the design, testing, deployment and sustainment of systems and application platforms.

Qualifications:

• Javascript / Typescript / NodeJS
• AWS cloud-native
• Backend-focused designing scalable APIs
• A background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business IT
• A history of translating client requirements into technical designs
• Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset
• Proficiency in software engineering languages and tools, including Java and RESTful services, spanning horizontal and vertical packages
• An understanding of how modifications affect different parts of a system and an ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineers
• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• US citizen, Secret clearance preferred
• One of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP, or CSSLP
