New Job Opportunity - Aquatic Biologist:

New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Annapolis, MD. Looking to hire a mid level Aquatic Biologist with a minimum of four years of related work experience. It is highly preferred that candidates have a basic background in GIS applications through coursework or applied experience

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire
• Hybrid role / 2 days on-site and local travel for field work
• 60k-70k  salary (Dependent on experience)

Day to Day Activities:

• Plans and implements surface water monitoring programs via designing and overseeing field and lab operations in order to collect, analyze, summarize, and coordinate sharing of data with regional partners
• Supervises and assists field crews that sample the physical, chemical and biological attributes of surface waters using scientific techniques and equipment in order to monitor, evaluate, and classify their condition.
• Evaluates water quality trends and contributes to the development of environmental standards,

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related degree
• Highly preferred: Basic background in GIS applications through coursework or professional experience
• Depending on the project: Ability to frequently travel on day trips
