Mechanical CAD Drafter

Main Points

• Fully onsite Marshalltown, Iowa
• Must have experience with Solidworks 
• Salary: 45k-55k
• GED or HS diploma required

Job Duties

• Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings 
• Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications 
• Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates 
• Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards 
•  Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates 
• Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available 
• Create SolidWorks 3D models with corresponding assembly and detail drawings.
• Design and build support structures for large and small AV systems.
• Ability to build and update Bill of Materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of fundamental Engineering, manufacturing processes and fabricated metal products.
• Proficiency in a CAD and/or Solid works platform.
• Experience working directly with engineers and technical staff, to develop appropriate product.
• Must have clear and concise written and/or oral communication abilities.
