Shift: 7am to 3:30pm shift Opportunity for OT as well
Terms:
Pay: $26.00/HR to $32.00/HR
Main Things: Must be onsite clearly, Must have strong Machinist experience with specifically working on Turbine equipment, So search terms should be Turbine Machining. 4 to 10 years experience preferred. Must be able to pass a Background check and drug screen
Job description:
- Set up, and operate shop machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding.
- Set up, and operate manual type shop machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding.
- Set up, and operate portable machine tools, such as Lathes, Milling, Boring, Grinding.
- Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
- Operate machine and monitor displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Understand required machining sequence and use precision measuring tools to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Perform dimensional inspection of various products.
- Clean machine, tooling, and parts and perform equipment PM as assigned.
- Heavy overnight travel (at least 70%) by land, and /or air.
- Be able to gain access to Nuclear Plants.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or at least three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
