This position is looking for a clearable US citizen that is able to work onsite in Hanover, MD 2-3 days/week. This is a full-time direct hire position that is looking to pay between $100k-$150k/yr depending on experience. This position requires 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and a bachelor's degree. This position is looking to hire ASAP. 

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Act as Engineer of Record for designs that are executed under your supervision and direction
  • Manage the engineering staff and staff projects adequately and efficiently
  • Delegating work and supervising staff members as they perform their tasks
  • Maintaining interdisciplinary coordination with other trades/projects consultants
  • Mentoring junior level employees and helping them develop in their professional careers
  • Monitoring correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.
  • Participating in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management
  • Communicate with clients in an engaging manner
  • Supervising and leading coordination meetings
  • Supervising preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditions
  • Managing construction administrative duties such as field reports, responses to RFIs
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals and scope of work documents
  • Assist with business development and project pursuits

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience working in a consulting engineering firm
  • Current P.E. registration as a Mechanical Engineer
  • History working with projects such as corporate office, tenant improvements, higher education, science and technology, retail, medical office and manufacturing
  • Ability to fully prepare a construction bid document and all the various phases of the project including the documentation and construction administration phase
  • High-level of proficiency in design and calculation software
  • Working knowledge of Electrical, Structural, and Fire Protection systems to ensure proper design coordination
  • Knowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs and ability to estimate and evaluate construction costs
  • Managing and motivating the engineers in a hybrid work environment
  • LEED accreditation, preferred
  • Latest version of AutoCAD experience and REVIT experience
