New Job Opportunity - Senior Accountant

New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Rockville, MD. Looking to hire an experienced accounting professional with a minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in accounting. Healthcare Experience is highly preferred 

We are trying to fill this role in the next two weeks 

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire
• Hybrid Remote: 2 days of remote work a week 

• Review your own work for completeness and accuracy.
• Processing payroll and maintaining records.
• On-board and off-board our client's employees.
• Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records.
• Participate in business compliance reporting, including preparing schedules for sales and business tax returns.
• Prepare schedules for audit support.
• Research and resolve basic accounting issues.
• Perform other month-end close activities, and other job-related duties, when asked to.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field is required 
• Minimum of 3+years of working accounting experience - Experience working in a healthcare focused industry is highly preferred
• Full Cycle Accounting Experience
• Communications and Organizational Skills 
• Management / Leadership Experience 
• knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) + revenue accounting standards (ASC 606)
