New Job Opportunity - Controller
New job opportunity with a client based out of Philadelphia, PA. Looking to hire an Assistant Controller with at least 4+ years of related working experience (Financial Operations) and a strong accounting background (bank reqs, journal entries, etc).
We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks.
Logistics of the Role:
- Full Time - Direct Hire
- On Site - 5 Days a Week
Day to Day Activities:
- Financial strategy, planning and oversight
- Financial and managerial accounting and reporting - responsible for the accounting department (AR,AP, Payroll, bank reconciliations)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, licenses, permits, insurance, including tax filings and financial audits specific to the construction industry.
- Responsible for producing periodic financial reports
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Oversee subcontractor / vendor payments
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4+ years work experience in a government contracting setting
- CPA is highly preferred - or in the process of getting CPA
- Must have experience working directly with stakeholders
- College Degree is required
- Paylocity Experience
- Bill-Me/Ramp Experience
- Prior experience managing staff
- Strong admin skills
