Sr. SATCOM Engineer

New Job Opportunity - Sr. SATCOM Engineer: 

New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Linthicum Heights, MD. Looking to hire a Sr. SATCOM Engineer with at least 10 years of related professional work experience - Must have a background in SATCOM (Waveform Communications) and experience with lower layer hardware (FPGA, DSP) as well as upper layer computer software (C code).

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire 
• This is a hybrid position - 2 days a week telecommute - Need to be local to the DMV area
• Compensation: Depending on Experience - 140-160k 

Day to Day Activities:

• Provide advanced SATCOM support in operations, communications and coalition planning, crypto, testing, familiarization, and special analysis
• Code with minimal supervision
• Performs customer requirements analysis and maintains product roadmap
• Leads partner SATCOM equipment evaluation, integration and procurement activities
• Coordinates all product line enhancements and partner component configurations and integration activities
• Manages Product Quality and Configuration Management activities
• Coordinates systems acceptance testing

Qualifications: 

• 10+ years’ experience in Waveform communications with lower layer hardware (FPGA,DSP) and strong with upper layer computer software (c code).
• Experience with SATCOM Hardware, Waveforms and Access Techniques.
• Experience performing systems analysis, requirements, & design for RF systems.
• Experience translating customer requirements into solution(s).
• Experience with SATCOM Hardware, Waveforms and Access Techniques.
• Experience briefing Senior Leadership and Customers on Technical matters.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
