Overview
Design, develop, and/or integrate proven solutions to application problems for vast portfolio of commercial customers. Troubleshoot system administration issues or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Build physical and virtual servers and physical workstations with and without previously defined images or templates.
Main Points
- Mostly remote position/will have to go out to clients once a week in Baltimore Metro area
- Salary: 75k-90k
- Must have worked for MSP
- Must have experience with Windows Servers and Azure Cloud
Duties and Responsibilities
- Server administration and troubleshooting on full OSI layer .
- Manage existing Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Install/Maintain virtual infrastructures.
- Dell Server hardware maintenance and architecture
- Create and manage existing customer environments in Azure
- Manage hot fixes / standard patches for Windows servers and workstations.
- Provide storage and server level administration.
- Execute business processes (e.g. service level agreements, hand off from engineering to operations, support requests).
- Update and maintain documentation pertaining to internal engineering processes.
- Provide escalation support for operations issues off the help desk.
- Utilize scripts to increase productivity and implement automation for repetitive tasks in operations.
- Experience work for an MSP, utilizing a PSA and RMM Tools.
- Experience with standardized builds of virtualization and migrating bare metal infrastructure to virtualized environments.
- Experience building images a plus.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016. Active Directory, GPO, IIS, DNS, DHCP, DFS/R, Microsoft Certificate Authority, Essentials.
- Experience with Dell server platforms and management tools.
- Experience with 365 stack a huge plus
