Mechanical Quality Engineer

- Assists in performing engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities.
- Assists in preparation of mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection
- Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
- Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
- Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
- Works closely in coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
- Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and
- Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education/License/Registration/Certification Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred
- Experience in the life sciences industry
- 1+ years of experience
