Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop, test, and deploy programmable logic controller (PLC) programs, ensuring seamless automation and control of machinery and equipment across various industrial settings.
Design intuitive human-machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, empowering operators to efficiently monitor and manage industrial processes.
Contribute to the design and development of hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, adhering to global industry standards and ensuring reliability and performance.
Conduct rigorous testing and meticulous debugging of PLC programs and hardware systems, swiftly identifying and resolving issues to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of PLC programs, hardware designs, and system configurations, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and streamlined project management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the execution of automation and control projects, providing technical support during system installation, commissioning, and post-implementation phases.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related, with minimum of 3.3 GPA, MS and PhD a plus
United States Citizenship is required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Controls Engineer
STEM related BS with 4 years of industrial controls experience
STEM related MS with 2 years of industrial controls experience
STEM related AS with 6 years of industrial controls experience
Ex-Military with 8 years of industrial controls experience
High School Diploma with 12 years of industrial controls experience
Associate Controls Engineer
STEM related BS with 1 year of industrial controls experience
STEM related AS with 2 years of industrial controls experience
High School Diploma with 4 years of industrial controls experience
The following experience is not required, but highly desirable:
Military experience o High speed communications development
TÜV functional safety certificate
Familiarity with MODBUS and CANbus communications

Salary Range: $80,000-$180,000 per year
Job Type: Full Time

Work Environment: Client offers hybrid work schedule after first 6 months.
