Systems Administrator (Unix/Linux) (US Citizen Clearable)

What You’ll Be Doing You will provide technical support in the systems design and mission architecture for our customer. You will be part of a great team that supports the monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting of user accounts and systems problems pertaining to but not limited to tuning, file management and software installation. You will be part of performing systems maintenance, installation configuration, and support certification and accreditation activities. You will be able to support operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix/Solaris, LINUX) and storage filers (e.g., NetApp, Isolon).
 
What You'll Need to Succeed Eight (8) years demonstrated systems administration experience administering user accounts; performing server subsystem configuration, network management, installation of software, backups, configuration management, and general system maintenance; and providing input to the design of the organizations systems and mission architecture. DoD 8570 compliance – at minimum, IAT Category, Level II. Four (4) years combined experience in system administration, which shall have been obtained within the last six (6) years. Six (6) years combined experience in each of the following: System backup/restore procedures, and security practices System tuning User administration Software and hardware installation and maintenance File management and system troubleshooting

Operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix/Solaris, LINUX) and storage filers (e.g., NetApp, Isolon) System accreditation support, configurations, and Vmware and virtualization A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of experience. A Master of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline may be substituted for six (6) years of experience. US citizenship is required and a DoD security clearance is preferred.
