New and exciting job opportunity out of Manassas, VA. Looking to hire a Software Engineer with at least 1 years of prior related professional experience working with C++/Java/Python. Experience/proficiency in a Linux environment is required

Logistics of the Role:
- Full Time - 6 Month Contract to Hire (Pay ranges from 45/hr-60/hr - Depending on Experience)
- On Site
- Software Development - Develop new applications, as well as provide enhancements and support for existing systems
- Analyze technology/capability gaps, research, develop, and deploy software solutions
- Leverage knowledge of software design principles to maximize readability and maintainability.
- Will be responsible for ensuring quality product/assurance - testing of the software and assuring its quality -Debugging and Troubleshooting
- Will be tasked with documentation - Effectively document systems, software and processes
- Support the integration of RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
- Apply security updates to RHEL
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, or related field
- 0-3 years of experience in software development
- Applied experience programming in a Linux environment - Experience with Red Hat Linux
- Applied experience with C++, and Java
- Knowledge of Linux Systems
- An active security clearance is highly preferred
- Must be organized and an excellent communicator
