VP of Finance (SEC Reporting Experience needed)

The Finance Group is truly a team, based out of our St Pete Headquarters and committed to delivering excellence.  As an integral part of a critical and growing team, this role will have responsibility and accountability for the following, with an opportunity to train and develop into a position of increasing responsibility:

• Coordination with the Firm’s resource partners, including those providing CPA, bookkeeping, tax, and audit services.
• Support the Firm on identification, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate controls.
• Support the Finance team in executing the group’s core responsibilities, including corporate financial reporting with a focus on revenue recognition, Accounts Receivable management and client invoicing, financial budgeting, and maintaining books and records across our client’s five entities.
• Support our Capital Strategies and Advisor Financing Services in control and execution of principle investments made to Financial Advisors in the Network.
• Reconcile and process all payments and collect all fees from vendor, client and other business relationships of the Firm.
• Monthly Close of Books in coordination with a third-party accounting team, and create and process monthly financial reports with consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Maintain a focus on constant improvement, assisting in the development of internal controls and safeguards where applicable.
• Ensure records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Add value by creating automation and efficiency across our tools and processes.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

• At least 6 years of experience on Finance or Audit Teams.
• SEC reporting experience
• CPA Qualification Required
• Strong accounting knowledge to participate in developing a control model and institutional-quality financial reporting for a fast-growing Financial Services company.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• High aptitude with technology, including Excel and General Ledger systems, with ability to learn quickly and work with vendors and platforms used in the RIA space.
• Excited to dive in and perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture with the ability to build rapport and instill confidence with the team, Advisors and Resource Partners.
• Demonstrated commitment to both partnership and teamwork, with initiative to proactively address issues as they arise.
