Provides ongoing maintenance for material master data in SAP for raw materials, packaging, MROs, and IT materials.
May train other personnel on GMP receiving, inventory control, and sampling & dispensing operations
Responsibilities for materials associate
Ensuring orders for materials are entered, tracked, and delivered within specified time frames
Actively participate in forecasting and planning production needs
Build relationships with suppliers reacting effectively to missed delivery windows, carrier changes, production lead times etc
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and adjust accordingly planning requirements
Establishing departmental and individual goals and objectives in alignment with site goals and priorities
Motivating, retaining and developing employees
Cultivating and managing customer relationships
Making cold calls to prospective customers
Following up with customers and providing solutions, should a service concern arise
Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
Qualifications for materials associate
Minimum of 1 year in a GMP environment strongly preferred
Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs and production schedules
The EHS Specialist will be responsible to support the EHS Manager promoting a No Harm culture with front line supervisors and hourly employees manage EHS programs in shop operations
Technical knowledge of materials & materials development processes
1-2 years Project Management or Database Management experience
Working experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Experience in publications/print production and/or inventory management
