Job Duties
- Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings
- Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
- Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
- Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
- Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
- Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
- Create SolidWorks 3D models with corresponding assembly and detail drawings.
- Design and build support structures for large and small AV systems.
- Ability to build and update Bill of Materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of fundamental Engineering, manufacturing processes and fabricated metal products.
- Proficiency in a CAD and/or Solid works platform.
- Experience working directly with engineers and technical staff, to develop appropriate product.
- Must have clear and concise written and/or oral communication abilities.
