Lead Audio Visual Technician

The Tech's responsibilities include installing, configuring, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting audio visual equipment. Performs routine maintenance, and inventory tracking. Coordinating with clients on placement, integration, and ensures functionality of projectors, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording and video-conferencing equipment for live events and meetings. Responds to and resolves routine questions and technical issue

Main Points

  • 75% travel. The other 25% they are just off. Travel is typically Sunday-Thursday/Friday. Everything is paid for plus per diem.
  • Salary: 75k-95k depending on experience
  • Targeting about 5+ years of experience
  • Any experience with Crestron, AMX, BiAmp, Polycom would be great
  • They can maintain higher clearances
  • A CTS certification would be great but not required

Job Duties: 

  • Installation, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems which includes displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, control systems, etc.
  • Understanding and interpreting of both architectural and electrical schematics
  • On-site supervision of installation team and communication with Project Supervisors to complete jobs on time and within budget
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates to account managers
  • During job commissioning ensure that the systems quality and performance meet design specifications

Requirements 

  • Must Have 5+ years of professional experience
  • Must have experience with Cisco Webex
  • Have experience installing Creston, AMX, or Biamp
  •
