Procurement Specialist (Must have purchased Factory Instrumentation)

Remote - Full Time

Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will report to the Director of Procurement and will support purchasing and expediting activities for our client’s capital projects.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
• Procure materials, consumables, services, and/or equipment to support capital projects in accordance with company processes including the following:
     o Establish NDA’s with suppliers
     o Develop and issue requests for proposals
     o Manage bidding processes
     o Perform proposal evaluations and prepare recommendations
     o Negotiate commercial terms and pricing
     o Prepare purchase orders and issue authorized purchase orders or contracts
• Negotiate blanket purchase orders and/or master supply agreements
• Expedite material and equipment deliveries
• Coordinate with supplier integration of material releases for shipment into PCTs digital data management system
• Manage and monitor supplier performance
• Develop and update expediting status reports
• Expedite the engineering, documentation, fabrication, and shipment of materials, consumables, and/or equipment
• Other procurement activities yet to be determined

Basic Qualifications
● Engineering degree preferred
● 2+ years of procurement experience
● Experience negotiating commercial terms
● Ability to make cold calls and build relationships

● Experience purchasing instrumentation and/or automation equipment is a plus

● Capital projects experience is a plus
● Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
