Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
With the mentoring of experienced Senior/Lead Power Electronics Development Hardware Engineers, the Power Electronics Hardware Engineer will:
Simulate and design an overall Power Electronics system for Industrial application
Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters) of the overall electrical power plant.
Design and test SiC based power electronics converter topologies including active rectifiers, isolated DC-DC converters, solid-state-transformers, and high speed motor drives
Detailed PCB designs including SiC gate drivers, system control PCB's, and support hardware
Support the project team on Hardware tasks as needed
Support the Drive Test and Validation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related, with minimum of 3.3 GPA, MS and PhD a plus
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
United States Citizenship is required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Major Courses on Power Electronics Converters
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Job Type: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Environment: Client offers hybrid work schedule after first 6 months.
