Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and creating a culture of safety throughout the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety policies, conducting training programs, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a proactive approach to workplace safety. The ideal candidate has a strong background in occupational health and safety, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with department managers and employees to establish safety goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
• Provide safety training and educational programs to employees, including new hire orientation, job-specific training, and ongoing safety awareness campaigns.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
• Coordinate with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies and insurance providers, to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to occupational health and safety.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability among employees through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
• Lead safety committees or teams, facilitating regular meetings, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
