New Job Opportunity - Collections Specialist 

New job opportunity out of Alexandria, VA. Looking to hire someone who has at least one year of related  professional experience (preferably this type of work for a Credit Union or Bank). This role involves collecting large debts from consumers: Unpaid medical bills, delinquent utility bills, car notes

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire - Our client is looking to pay around 20/hr
• On Site

• Communicate with opposing parties to negotiate settlement terms and amounts for accounts.
• Communicate offers with clients, vendors, opposing parties.
• Communicate with clients and vendors to determine client's budget to settle an account.
• Keep case management system up to date with notes and progress.
• Coordinate with paralegals and attorneys while working on settling a case.
• Correspond with client vendors to ensure creditor payments are sent in a timely manner.
• Follow up with clients and vendors for payment of filing fees and legal costs.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• 1+ year of Debt settlement industry experience a plus
• High School Diploma
• Must be okay with being subject to drug and background check 
• Extremely well organized and ability to multi-task/follow-up
• Able to take criticism well
• Experience with Microsoft Suite / Spreadsheets
