Technical Support Specialist As a technical support specialist for our company, it will be your job to enhance the capabilities of our computer systems so that the business can run smoothly. You will head to whichever department needs your expertise and make any necessary tweaks or recommendations.
Main Points
Fully onsite position
Pay: 50k-60k depending on experience
Must have experience supporting Software and Hardware
Engineering troubleshooting background
Most support will be virtual
Job Duties
Tests computer components to maintain capability of company systems
Writes operating instructions for all users
Monitoring the industry trends and developing technical expertise in products
Researching, identifying, and prioritizing solutions to software and hardware issues
Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.
Communicating with customers via phone, email, or chat until resolution
Referring to internal or external resources to provide accurate and timely solutions
Documenting technical knowledge in the form of notes, manuals, and training materials
Maintains information confidential to ensure continued client confidence
Keeps records of revisions and changes in software and hardware
Requirements
Relevant experience in industrial automation (knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA) strongly preferred
Service/support experience in industrial automation/manufacturing/electronics industry preferred
General networking experience/knowledge (routers, switches, subnets, VLAN, etc) preferred
Familiarity with Hubspot or similar software preferred
Business level proficiency in a second language preferred
