SQL/.NET DBA Developer
Cape Canaveral, FL - Full Time
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This individual is responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications within a large-scale ERP manufacturing system. Duties may include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance, or enhancement o existing applications. This individual works closely with management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. They research and evaluate alternative solutions and make ongoing and new projects to expand the existing systems functionality while participating in planned enhancements to existing technology.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of TSQL/SQL, MSSQL Management Studio Tools
- Database management experience
- Ability to write technical specifications (requirements) documents
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a strong team player
- Visual .Net C#, VB Script
- Experience writing functional specifications for software changes
- Ability to write technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail
- SQL Reporting Services
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
- Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
- Planning for backup and recovery “Disaster Recovery” of database information
- Managing database security/integrity
- Provides information by answering questions and requests
- Custom Development – Reports, alerts from database as per need
- Acts as intermediary between venders and managements to drive projects to completion
- Troubleshoot and solve product defects
- Gupta Sql/Windows or other 4GL’s
- Additional Duties as assigned by management
