Wordpress Web Developer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Marketing Team to identify and plan the need and release of new website features.
• Plan, facilitate, and execute daily content releases and bi-weekly feature updates.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues related to both new and existing features and provide recommendations for remediation and process improvements.
• Maintain/Improve ADA Compliance and site speed.
• Complete all tasks within a given timeline and update status per project using our internal systems.
• Provide on-call support for the website and related applications.
• Write clear, concise documentation for all new features and enhancements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong experience building and managing Wordpress themes and plugins.
• Experience with PHP and MySQL
• Experience with modern frontend languages including Javascript, XML, HTML, and Css / Scss.
• Proficient with build tooling technologies including Gulp, Webpack, and Composer.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other related software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts in an understandable and concise way.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to work on multiple projects and stay within scope, timeline, and budget.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a WordPress developer building themes and plugins.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field preferred.
• Technical certifications, certificate programs, and/or higher-level training are highly desired.
