Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
Computer experience required.
Active member of the Safety Committee.
Valid PA driver’s license to operate company vehicle.
The Laundry Supervisor is responsible to the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ACCIDENT EXPOSURE
Works directly with laundry team members and around residents of various levels of care.
Obvious odors are present from soiled linens.
Works in 1st floor laundry room office doing various paperwork 25% of the time. Works in laundry dept. with staff 75% of the time filling in (washing, drying, folding, delivering, etc.) as a working supervisor.
Potential for contracting communicable diseases.
Lifting various weights and pushing or pulling carts.
Exposure to water temperatures up to 140 degrees.
Exposure to various detergents and chemicals.
Meets a variety of physical requirements such as reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, standing,(1-3 hour periods), lifting up to 50lbs., pushing and pulling up to 150lbs., climbing squatting, kneeling, reading, writing, walking, being on your feet 95% of the time. These physical requirements are called for frequently and spontaneously as needed and for varying periods of time.
