Assistant Lab Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Lab Manager to support the operations of our lab. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory environment and managing lab resources. The Assistant Lab Manager will work closely with the Lab Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the lab and support research activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee lab operations, including lab safety, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and ordering of supplies
• Collaborate with the Lab Manager to develop and implement lab policies and procedures
• Train and supervise lab technicians and students on lab protocols and procedures
• Assist in the planning and execution of experiments and research projects
• Perform lab administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and data entry
• Manage lab budgets and prepare financial reports
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as OSHA and EPA regulations
• Participate in lab meetings and communicate with other lab members and collaborators
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in lab management and identify opportunities for improvement in lab processes and tools
