Principal Investigator & Sr. Signal Processing Engineer

Summary:

Our client is searching for a Sr. Signal Processing Engineer with experience obtaining contracts and leading teams to research and develop acoustic signal processing and machine learning technologies. This personal will spearhead business development to acquire government funding for the company's R&D lifecycle. Ideal candidate will have a diverse background in system design, software development, acoustic systems, signal processing and machine learning.

Salary: $150,000-$190,000/yr

Work Setting: On-site

Clearance: Must have active Secret Clearance

Job Duties:

• Design and develop machine learning and signal processing technologies and manage full R&D lifecycle

• Identify opportunities to develop concepts with government customers and acquire contract funding for projects. This will include proposal writing, budgeting, and presentation of technical concepts to customers.

• Develop and execute strategies to capture new business opportunities by identifying potential government customers, understanding their requirements, and proposing innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

• Experience working with acoustic signal processing, signal extraction, timefrequency analysis and algorithm prototyping/development.

• Experience in the full R&D lifecycle, including concept development, funding acquisition, technical execution, and successful project delivery.

• Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward achieving project goals.

• Active US Government Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

• Excellent understanding of machine learning and statistical estimation models for a wide range of potential input types and dataset sizes.

• Prior experience with SBIR proposal writing.

• Demonstrated experience working with senior Navy sponsors.
