New Job Opportunity - Controller 

New job opportunity with a client based out of Rockville, MD. Looking to hire a Controller with around 10-15 years of related working experience ((Financial Operations) in a government setting (GovCon experience). We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks. 

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire 
• Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

Day to Day Activities: 

• Financial strategy, planning and oversight
• Financial and managerial accounting and reporting - responsible for the accounting department (AR,AP, Payroll, bank reconciliations)
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, licenses, permits, insurance, including tax filings and financial audits specific to the construction industry.
• Responsible for producing periodic financial reports
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Oversee subcontractor / vendor payments

Qualifications: 

• Must have a minimum of 10 years work experience in a government contracting setting
• Active CPA is required 
• Must have experience working directly with stakeholders 
• College Degree is required 
• GovCon experience is required 
• Prior experience managing staff 
• Strong admin skills
