Mechanical Engineer (Secret Clearance)

Active Secret Clearance Required
Salary: $80,000 - 110,000/year
The Mechanical Engineer will possess the proven ability to use 2D & 3D software, have a basic understanding of processing plant design, have excellent time management skills, and an outgoing personality. This position allows the individual to be hands-on with the production team to ensure quality construction. This individual will also have the opportunity to work on R&D projects to develop product improvements and inventive solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Create 2D & 3D models of grinders from the concept stage to assist with the sales process.
• Communicate internally with MPE's sales team to understand initial customer requirements.
• Process customer orders from design stage to manufacturing.
• Work hand in hand with MPE's production team to ensure quality product.
• Work directly with customers to understand project goals and develop efficient solutions.
• Use engineering skillset to develop unique designs in an R&D setting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or similar).
• 1+ years' experience with equipment design
• Experience with 3D modeling (Solidworks preferred)
• Experience with 2D modeling (AutoCAD preferred).
• Active Secret Clearance Required
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative with limited direction.
• Ability to quickly grasp and learn technical concepts related to the company's products and applications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively daily with sales personnel and customers.
