Controller

New Job Opportunity - Controller 

New job opportunity with a client based out of Washington D.C. Looking to hire a Controller with at least five years of related working experience (Financial Operations). Construction industry background is preferred.

We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks. 

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire 
• Hybrid - 2 to 3 days a week remote 

Day to Day Activities: 

• Financial strategy, planning and oversight.
• Financial and managerial accounting and reporting (AR, AP, Billing). 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, licenses, permits, insurance, including tax filings and financial audits specific to the construction industry.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Oversee subcontractor / vendor payments.

Qualifications: 

• Must have a minimum of five years professional work experience in the construction industry.
• High School Diploma - College Degree Preferred.
• Prior experience managing staff.
• Strong admin skills.
• It is preferred that applicants have experience with project management software (Sage, Procore).
