New Job Opportunity - Environmental Scientist:
New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Toledo, OH. Looking to hire a mid level environmental scientist with a minimum of four years of related work experience. We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks.
Logistics of the Role:
- Full Time - Direct Hire
- On Site
- 75-95k salary
Day to Day Activities:
- Work on a wide variety of environmental compliance and natural resources projects as they relate to water resources, transportation and development projects
- Work under the supervision of mid-level and senior environmental scientist and water resource engineers
- Take responsibility for assisting with environmental permits, NEPA documentation, biological assessments and other environmental compliance documentation
- Conduct ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects, which includes site inspections, research and interviews, data review and interpretation, and report writing.
- Planning, coordination, and contractor oversight of various subsurface investigation projects
- Complete Tier I level technical reviews of various environmental assessment reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related Engineering degree
- 5+ years of experience performing ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs
- Depending on the project: Ability to frequently travel on day trips
- Preferred: OSHA 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher certification
