SATCOM Engineer

Growing government client has a need for a satellite communications (SATCOM) Systems Engineer to be part of military communications standardization efforts.
Projects will range from the latest UHF SATCOM waveforms integrated on tactical radios to commercial smartcards used on the Washington, D.C. Metro.
Client supports a SATCOM standardization forum which meets three times a year while also supporting several technical working groups involved in drafting and maintaining MIL-STDs and related SATCOM requirements documents. Current SATCOM areas of interest include UHF, SHF, and EHF.
The SATCOM Systems Engineer will support these meeting and working groups by preparing and presenting briefing topics, managing meetings, recording meeting minutes, coordinating document drafting and tracking action items.
Minimum qualification:

Minimum qualification:
- BSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Technical writing experience
- Experience in communications systems, particular satellite communications
- Experience working in technical teams
