Engineering Services Manager

New Job Opportunity - Engineering Services Manager:

New and exciting job opportunity out of Gaithersburg, MD. Looking to hire an experienced Engineering Services Manager with at least 4 years of prior related professional experience overseeing the transition of products from the design & development phase into production. Must be knowledgeable in safety regulations and product compliance

Logistics of the Role:

• Full Time - Direct Hire 
• Fully On Site Role 

Day to Day Activities:

• Main responsibility includes overseeing the transition of products from the design & development phase into production
• Will be tasked with mechanical engineering based responsibilities that include creating 3D models and performing thermal analysis to ensure optimal enclosure design of the product
• Electronic Product packaging dealing with enclosures - including sheet metal and plastic designs
• Will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the final assembled Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) to ensure that customer's specifications/requirements - define mechanical aspects and provide outline drawings 
• Cooperate with electrical engineers to oversee circuit board layout 
• Will be tasked with Documentation / Specification of the project as well as ensuring all regulatory standards are met

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• At least 4+ years of experience working in an electronic product heavy environment -specification, design, and testing of electronic products
• Experience using an electronic design automation (EDA) tool - Mechanical or Electrical Design 
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance / safety regulations and product compliance
