Staff Accountant

This position is looking for someone who is able to work fully onsite out of Tampa, FL. This is a full-time direct hire position that is looking to pay between $65-$75k/year. This position requires public accounting experience and a CPA would be a huge plus. This position also requires strong communication skills and is looking to hire ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory financial reports for various entities
• Assisting in the compilation of various regulatory reporting requirements
• Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
• Assisting in the day-to-day operations and control environment surrounding financial information
• Research accounting issues to derive proper accounting and reporting solutions
• Providing external audit assistance
• Assisting with special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Required Skills

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Unparalleled customer service orientation
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a growing business
• Ability to take on new tasks as needed
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office and/or other data manipulation software
