Support the implementation of MDA quality and mission assurance requirements by providing subject matter expertise for the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks associated with various aspects of the design, development, manufacturing, fielding and operation of MDA systems
Provide assessments of developer hardware and/or software configuration and data management support on system, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes
Assist and support the program office in controlling and monitoring the established configuration management baselines
Collect and gather configuration information to support ground test configurations for hardware and software
Coordinate and/or assist in the preparation for and conduct of the program Configuration Control Board
Support and provide technical recommendation on all contract data items which may pertain to program software/hardware quality
Support the government program office by assisting in the implementation, use, and oversight of the software change processes used by prime and subordinate contractors for program quality/production
Prepare, coordinate, and occasionally present software/hardware configuration and data management briefings for internal and external leadership
Assist the program office in the development of effective hardware and/or software configuration management requirements for statements of work and task orders
Assist the program office in the development, coordination, and implementation of an effective software/hardware change processes and associated documentation
Assist the program office in the effective interface with the appropriate program office functional and product personnel to effectively educate, manage, and implement the program configuration and data management processes
Participate in configuration audits and assessments at the prime/developer contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring the effective implementation of the program configuration and data management requirements
Provide weekly status reports on activities and issues of concern
Travel periodically, approximately three to four times per year
Minimum Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Currently possess a DoD secret security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) certified institution
5+ years of experience in configuration management or data management
Experience providing configuration and data management support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes
Knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement effective obsolescence management for developmental and fielded weapon system components, ensuring the continued availability of obsolete components
Experience implementing the obsolescence mitigation process throughout the program acquisition life cycle
Experience working as a member of team and assisting by proactively solving complex problems.
