Procurement Manager -(80)

Rockville, MD - Contracted to Full Time

The Procurement Manager will be the primary point of contact between our suppliers. Responsible for the procurement of products at the best terms possible and ensuring our projects have all materials ready for use.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare purchase orders on behalf of the company for both R&D production, PD, and GMP production
  • Search, review prices and product specifications from various suppliers to determine which would provide the best deal
  • Create and maintain purchasing files and price lists
  • Maintain enough inventory on hand for both R&D production, PD and GMP productions
  • Track deliveries and confirm receipt of the materials and equipment ordered from suppliers
  • Answer supplier and customer inquiries about order changes or cancellations and check requisition orders for accuracy
  • Help prepare and collate proper and complete specification for equipment and materials based on internal specification and/or RFP
  • Conduct and report out project cost accounting and prepare monthly reports the Management
  • Liaise with the Facility/Material team, QA/QC team, and PD/GMP team to ensure timely and compliant GMP procurement process
  • Manage the bidding and quoting process with external suppliers to ensure the cost saving for the company
  • Familiarize with the company production, research, PD and GMP processes, and relevant materials and equipment to ensure proper procurement
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, preferably in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Working experience with procurement in a CDMO and 5-10 years of experience is required
  • Experience with Intaact/Sage a plus
