Payroll Specialist

This is a full time direct-hire position that is looking to pay between $40k-$55k/yr. This is a fully onsite position that needs someone to work onsite in Carbondale, PA. This position requires multi-state payroll and 3+ years of payroll experience. This position requires either US citizenship or someone who is a green card holder and is looking to hire ASAP.

General Description:

• Process bi-weekly payroll in a timely matter, with high attention to detail

• Collect and maintain payroll and tax data

• Quickly and efficiently resolve payroll discrepancies

• Maintain employee confidence

• Ensure all records are kept confidential

• Generate payroll reports for 401k, 941 forms, quarterly earnings, municipal tax reports and W2 forms

• Process weekly vendor check runs

• Ensure invoices received timely, and distributed to Department Heads for approval

• Ensure invoices are properly coded and entered in the correct period

• Ensure W-9s are received for new vendors

• Prepare annual 1099-MISC and 1099-NECs

• All other job duties as assigned

Requirements for this role:

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on Payroll and Accounts Payable experience

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Reliable and professional when handling confidential data

• High school diploma

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
