Junior Electrical Engineer

This position is looking for a junior electrical engineer in the Manassas, VA area that is able to work onsite. This is a full-time 6-month contract to hire position that is looking to pay between $35-$45/hr. This position requires US citizenship and someone who is fully vaccinated against COVID. This role is looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and has 0-5 years of experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
• Assist with the preparation and review of reports and proposals
• Checks system and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
• Improve electrical products manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
• Have experience in schematic entry using OrCAD Capture 
• Ensure product quality by designing electrical testing methods
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical machines and power systems theory
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills. Power systems analysis software will be considered an asset
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
